Grow & Bloom – Cut Flower Business Workshop
Spring 2025 dates now open for booking!
Join us at our Silvan flower farm on Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th of November, 10am–3pm for two days of hands‑on learning, fresh country air and beautiful blooms.

TURN YOUR PASSION INTO A FLOURISHING PATCH
If you’ve ever dreamed of transforming your love of flowers into something more — a garden that blooms all year round, a stall at the local market, or even a small flower farm of your own — this two-day, hands-on workshop is for you.
Held at our working flower farm in Silvan, this immersive experience will guide you through the foundations of growing, harvesting, and preparing seasonal flowers. Whether you're planning to grow purely for the joy of it or to explore future possibilities, you’ll walk away with real, practical knowledge and confidence.

WHAY YOU'LL LEARN
Across the two days, you’ll discover how to grow high-quality cut flowers at home or on a small scale; how to plan and set up a productive flower patch; and how to care for soil health and plant nutrition through composting and sustainable methods. You'll explore seeding, seed saving, propagation, and transplanting techniques, along with gentle, low-impact ways to manage pests, diseases, and weeds.
We’ll cover harvest timing and post-harvest care to maximise vase life, and dive into sustainable floristry skills: from bunching and bouquet design to natural wrapping. You’ll also receive our list of trusted seed suppliers, recommended tools, and local resources to support your growing journey.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
Your weekend with us includes two full days of hands-on learning in our flower farm market garden, a guided farm tour with practical growing demonstrations, and the chance to create your own bunches to take home. We provide all flowers, tools and materials, plus detailed workshop notes and handouts. Enjoy tea, coffee, light refreshments, and time to meet and connect with fellow flower lovers.

PRACTICAL NOTES
This workshop takes place outdoors on a working flower farm. Be ready for changing weather and to get your hands dirty. We recommend wearing casual, comfortable clothes, closed-toe shoes or gumboots, and bringing gardening gloves, a sun hat, sunscreen, and your camera.
At Botaniculture, we teach in harmony with nature — blending sustainable growing practices with our love for the land and the seasons. This workshop reflects our zero-waste, locally grown philosophy.
