Farmer–Florist Workshop: Garden Style Vase Arrangement
Workshops are held at two locations — our flower farm in Silvan in the beautiful Yarra Valley, and at Burwood Brickworks in Burwood East, home to our Botaniculture farm city shop. Wherever you join us, you’ll work with locally grown blooms freshly picked from our farm or thoughtfully sourced from nearby growers, always naturally in season.
We begin with a discussion about working with the natural palette of the season. You’ll explore how different stems complement one another, how texture creates depth, and how to balance movement and structure to create a bouquet that feels harmonious and naturally abundant.
With fresh flowers in hand, you’ll learn how to hand-tie a garden-style bouquet, arranging stems in a way that feels relaxed yet intentional. You’ll also experiment with eco-friendly wrapping techniques, presenting your work in a way that is both beautiful and sustainable.
By the end of the session, you’ll have created a seasonal hand-tied bouquet, carefully wrapped and ready to take home — a true reflection of the flowers you’ve worked with and the season you’re in.
From the moment you arrive, everything is provided so you can focus on learning, creating, and connecting with the season. Through our small-group workshops, you’ll gain practical skills, explore sustainable flower design, and experience working with flowers as living crops rather than products in a shop.
This workshop is perfect for aspiring florists, creatives and flower lovers, career changers exploring floristry, small business owners refining their styling approach, and growers interested in expanding into floral design.
No prior experience is needed — just curiosity, a willingness to get your hands a little dirty, and a love of flowers.
